Glove Box Concept
The glove box is a laboratory device that fills a sealed chamber with high-purity inert gas and continuously filters out water, oxygen, organic gases, and other substances. It is also known as a vacuum glove box or inert gas protection box. Its main function is the removal of water, oxygen, and organic gases.
The working gas inside the glove box circulates in a closed loop between the box and the purification column (water and oxygen adsorber) under the control and monitoring of a PLC, using pipes and a circulating fan. As the working gas circulates through the purification column, the water and oxygen it contains are adsorbed and then returned to the box. As the circulation time increases, the water and oxygen content in the working gas inside the box gradually decreases, eventually reaching a level of less than 1 ppm. After a certain period of circulation, the purification column becomes saturated and can be regenerated for reuse.
